FOGG Odyssey bio picture

Troy Floyd

I missed the 60's, American, hate cooked green vegetables but love the taste of a cheese and mustard sandwich, been to 20+ countries, once had a 6-figure salary but quit it to be happy.

Goals in life:

* Sail the Amazon River in my own man made boat from Ecuador to Peru

* Hike Norway on the pilgrimage trail from Oslo to the North for 1 month

* Travel the world by car or motorcycle for 2 years

* Expand my photography skills

* ...and buy a winning lottery ticket!

Think that sums me up pretty much!  In all honestly, I'm currently living in Quito, Ecuador.  After working long 12hr days, 7 days a week, chasing the wealth dream I finally decided it was time in my life to do something I'm passionate about, PHOTOGRAPHY and TRAVEL!

I will be adding daily posts and pictures to this site, as this site is merely to display my work and keep people informed of where I'm at and doing.  Sign up for my email feeds to get my posts delivered to your inbox.  It's the best way to keep informed!

So if you can't travel, then I invite you to through my website.  For all the ones that are...please look me up.

Faces of Ecuador: 034

  1. What is your first name: Edgar
  2. What city are you from: Bogota
  3. What country are you from: Colombia
  4. What do you do: Department of Security (was asked not to say anymore than that)
  5. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why: Israel because it’s a spiritual place and would like to see Jerusalem.
  6. What’s your dream and why: To travel the world any way possible and see every continent.

FOGG Notes: Edgar was riding with the Venezuelan Bikers, as they had picked him up in Colombia when they rode through.  He rode with them through Ecuador and then headed back to Bogota because he had to work.  He was the coolest Colombian I have ever met and he even gave me a get-out-of-jail card if I ever had any problems in Colombia (lets just say he’s kind of high up in the force).  I told him I tried to be good when traveling but he said “Just in case, give me a call and I’ll take care of things for you.”  So basically I have a license to do all the coke in the world now in Colombia without any worries.  It’s good to know people!

I hung out with Edgar for 2 days and on the last day I found out he was a 2nd degree black belt.  I found out because he was messing around and all of a sudden he did a double spin kick, then jumped and kicked over my head.  Asked where that came from and he said “10 years of training!”  Note to self: Colombians know Kung-Fu! He told me if I was ever in Bogota to look him up and he’d take me around to shoot photos.  I said that would be awesome but that if I could do anything I would love to get some night shots while there, as I hardly have anything like that in Ecuador (it’s too dangerous to have stuff like that out at night in Quito).  He said no worries and that as long as he was around no one would mess with me.  Something tells me he’s probably right and can’t wait to take him up on that offer.
