FOGG Odyssey bio picture

Troy Floyd

I missed the 60's, American, hate cooked green vegetables but love the taste of a cheese and mustard sandwich, been to 20+ countries, once had a 6-figure salary but quit it to be happy.

Goals in life:

* Sail the Amazon River in my own man made boat from Ecuador to Peru

* Hike Norway on the pilgrimage trail from Oslo to the North for 1 month

* Travel the world by car or motorcycle for 2 years

* Expand my photography skills

* ...and buy a winning lottery ticket!

Think that sums me up pretty much!  In all honestly, I'm currently living in Quito, Ecuador.  After working long 12hr days, 7 days a week, chasing the wealth dream I finally decided it was time in my life to do something I'm passionate about, PHOTOGRAPHY and TRAVEL!

I will be adding daily posts and pictures to this site, as this site is merely to display my work and keep people informed of where I'm at and doing.  Sign up for my email feeds to get my posts delivered to your inbox.  It's the best way to keep informed!

So if you can't travel, then I invite you to through my website.  For all the ones that are...please look me up.

Weekly Panoramic Photo: Old Town, Quito, Ecuador

Comprised of 4 horizontal photos

I started playing with another new technique that I have been neglecting for a long time.  Making panoramic isn’t that hard but does take a conscious thought when out shooting.  I mean your not going to be able to get back to your house and when post-editing you find a great picture thinking “wow that would make a great panoramic photo!”  Won’t work like that and you have to have the idea in your head before starting to shoot if you want good pano-shots.

So to mix things up, I’m going to try and post one panoramic shot per week now.  We’ll see if I can stick with it but a friend turned me onto a good program for stitching photos together, called ArcSoft Panorama Maker 5 Pro.  I don’t like all the features of it but it is easy to use and has a free striped down trail version (and free is always good!).

Still need help with people to fill out my survey about this site.  It takes 2min, I won’t ask for any personal information and you don’t have to register.  So help me out and click here.
